Weddings used to be boring. Not anymore!!! Watch Ellen announcing her engagement to Portia this afternoon during her show. I feel like I am getting married! Congrats Ellen and Portia! You can count on all of us to be the bridesmaid! x 2!

So here she is again. As I’m getting ready to go to NYC to her 50 years old celebration concert in August that, rumors says, is going to be at the Central Park, she is already fired up tongue kissing her (female) dancers and drinking champagne on the stage through out the whole show! For those who think this is just another a “desperate seeking publicity” measure, Madonna is and will always be the queen of self promotion and marketing (and that is another reason why I admire her even more), but the thing is, this is not the first time and surely not the last time she will be provocative and “controversial” (for some people). Madonna is the perfect mix of a true free spirit and a business woman and that is her signature. No one knows better than her, and it has been like that for several years. Like a Prayer? S.E.X.? Justify my love? Like a Virgin live in the Blood Ambition tour? Juts Hail to the Queen!

The last thing I expected to see Madonna doing. She just can’t stop surprising everyone. It is stronger than her.

It is really interesting to see all the buzz around Thomas Beatie pregnancy especially after the Oprah’s Tv show appearance. It’s been everywhere, from shocking to sarcastic headlines followed by pictures of a man’s belly expecting a child.

Thomas and wife admitted being initially cautious about spreading the news as they have faced opposition from family, friends and the medical profession.

Oh, I can see what can be so intriguing. What is really so intriguing (and amazing) is the love and happiness this couple share with the arrival of their first child. The tears of joy on Thomas face are there to prove it. People have issues with that?

All kinds of love should be always celebrated and not turned into a huge controversial judged-by-all topic. Specially on these days and ages.

So yesterday I received this invitation for a gala wedding next month. Very rich, successful, middle age people, getting married for the second time (they never learn anything) at Donald Trump’s hotel. Even though I couldn’t care less about those heterosexual privileges, this one triggered something I cannot yet define. So wrong, but so intriguing.

And then my mom called me: “Hello darling, did you get the invitation? We need to start looking for a dress.”

The last time I wore a dress I was probably 12. But I kept on listening: “It’s a black-tie wedding, honey.”
